Single-source design-build delivery for federal and private-sector clients, with nine engineering disciplines in-house and a team that has met LEED criteria for certified projects.
Bridgeman Civil has been involved in Federal and Private Sector projects as a General Contractor. We have assembled a team comprised of professional engineers to encompass all facets required to complete a design-build project — inclusive of Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Communications, Fire Protection, Security, and Audio Visual.
Our team has also met the LEED criteria for certification of design-build projects to actively pursue this type of work in all markets of construction.
Design and construction sit under a single agreement with one accountable firm. Coordination gaps between designer and builder don't become change orders, and the owner has one team to call when a decision needs to be made.
Nine engineering disciplines work together from day one instead of across firm boundaries. Civil, structural, MEP, communications, fire protection, security and AV are coordinated inside one team, reducing conflicts before they reach the field.
Designs are tested against real means, methods and current pricing as they develop. The owner sees cost and schedule implications of each choice early, while there is still time to change direction without redesign or rework.
Construction starts on early packages — site work, utilities, foundations — while later design packages are still in progress. Overlapping design and construction shortens the overall program compared with a traditional design-bid-build sequence.
